Zakiyah Ahmad

International Logistics Manager

Zakiyah Ahmad, businesswoman and mother of four, is presently a Logistics Manager for a 5 Star Gourmet Food Company in San Diego, CA. As one of the original visionaries of “Haven of Hope, City Within a City,” her concern has always been, “How does one leave an imprint on society that rids humanity of homelessness and helplessness?” She believes grass-roots programs that instill self-empowerment and self–appreciation are far too few and something has to be done.

Her experience as an Administrative Assistant at The United Way of Atlanta allowed her to work closely with many non-profit organizations. She was instrumental in assisting with grantee interviews, proofreading grant proposals, developing correspondence, and planning events that helped benefit so many of the area’s needy.

Now, with the completion of her Bachelors in Global Business Management, Zakiyah has raised her focus to the global expansion of Haven of Hope, City Within a City. Zakiyah feels she found her niche: a way to give back and leave her imprint.
